Yes. Our rugs are made for real childhood: crawling, rolling, first steps and long afternoons on the floor. They are OEKO-TEX® certified, have a non-slip backing, and are thin and flat, so there are no deep piles to trap dust or crumbs.

Yes. Our rugs are flat-woven, so dust and dirt have nowhere to hide, and they can go straight into the washing machine. The non-slip backing uses synthetic latex, which poses no risk for people with latex allergies.

Our rugs are thin and flat, with no deep pile, so they hold far less dust than a traditional rug. A regular vacuum and the occasional wash keep them fresh. If a loose thread appears, simply trim it with scissors; please don't pull it.

Yes. Every Hueppi rug can go in a home washing machine. Spilled juice, muddy shoes, a little art project gone wild: wash it and start again.

1. Machine wash separately on a delicate cycle at 30°C.
2. Use a washing machine with at least 8 kg (17.5 lbs) capacity.
3. Use a liquid detergent. Do not use fabric softener or harsh chemicals, which can damage or fade the rug.
4. Add laundry balls if you can; they help stop microfibres from washing out to sea.
5. Dry flat.

Wash smart and wash less: blotting spills and regular vacuuming mean your rug rarely needs a full wash.

No, please don't tumble dry. Lay your rug flat to dry; this keeps its shape and its non-slip backing in good condition.

Act quickly and blot gently with a clean cloth; never rub, which pushes the stain deeper. For anything that stays, machine wash the rug at 30°C with a liquid detergent. Avoid bleach and harsh stain removers.

Our water-based dyes are made to last through real family life. To keep colours bright, wash at 30°C on a delicate cycle, use liquid detergent, skip softeners and harsh chemicals, and dry flat.

Only when it needs it. Vacuum regularly and blot spills as they happen, then machine wash when the rug looks or feels like it needs a fresh start. Less washing is kinder to the rug and to the planet.

Yes. Hueppi rugs are thin and flat-woven, so towers stand tall and little cars roll freely. The illustrations become roads, rivers and maps for imaginary worlds.

Yes, every rug has a non-slip synthetic latex backing for extra safety, so most homes won't need a separate pad. The backing is durable: it won't dry out or break down over time.

Our non-slip backing works on hard floors such as wood, laminate and tiles, and on carpets too. Thanks to their thin structure, Hueppi rugs are perfect for layering on top of wall-to-wall carpet.

Hueppi rugs are flat and smooth rather than thick and fluffy. That makes them a clean, comfortable surface for crawling and play, and a stable base for first steps.

Yes, Hueppi rugs can be used with underfloor heating.

Yes. With no deep pile, there's less for fur to cling to, and the whole rug can be machine washed when accidents happen.

Most designs come in two sizes: 120 × 160 cm and 160 × 230 cm. Some designs are available in one size only; you'll find the options on each product page. As each rug is finished by hand, sizes may vary by ±5 cm.

120 × 160 cm suits a cosy reading corner, beside a cot or bed, or a smaller room. 160 × 230 cm creates a full play zone in a playroom or larger bedroom, with space for siblings, friends and big building projects. Tip: mark the size on the floor with tape before you order.

Hueppi is a family business. We've spent generations working with textiles, and now we bring that experience and expertise to children's rugs: safe, healthy and playful, made for real childhood. From our family to yours.

Every Hueppi rug is made in our own factory in Istanbul, Türkiye.

We ship worldwide from Türkiye. Orders are dispatched within 48 hours and travel with FedEx or UPS, depending on your destination. Delivery times vary by country and customs processing.

Shipping is calculated by destination and shown at checkout, before you pay.

International orders may be subject to local import duties, customs fees and taxes. Unless stated otherwise at checkout, these are the customer's responsibility.

Once your rug is on its way, you'll receive a shipping confirmation email with your FedEx or UPS tracking link.

You can return your rug within 15 days of your order date, or exchange it for another design within 30 days. Email hello@hueppi.co to start. Please send the rug back unused, in its original undamaged packaging, with all tags attached and the invoice in the parcel.

For international orders, return shipping is paid by the customer; if you'd like us to arrange it, the cost is deducted from your refund. Once we've received and checked your rug, we'll email you, and approved refunds go back to your original payment method within 10 business days. Original shipping fees are non-refundable.
