Are Hueppi rugs non-toxic?
Yes. Every Hueppi rug is certified STANDARD 100 by OEKO-TEX®, which means it has been tested for more than 350 harmful substances. We colour our rugs with ecological, water-based dyes from Italy, so nothing harsh sits between your child and the floor.
Are Hueppi rugs machine washable?
Yes. Every Hueppi rug can go in a home washing machine. Spilled juice, muddy shoes, a little art project gone wild: wash it and start again.
Are creases after washing permanent?
Not at all! Creases that may appear after washing are completely normal and temporary. Once your Hueppi rug is laid flat and used, they will naturally relax and gradually disappear with everyday foot traffic, allowing the rug to return to its original smooth appearance.
Are the rugs anti-slip? Do I need a rug pad?
Yes, every rug has a non-slip synthetic latex backing for extra safety, so most homes won't need a separate pad. The backing is durable: it won't dry out or break down over time.
Is the surface flat enough for building blocks and toy cars?
Yes. Hueppi rugs are thin and flat-woven, so towers stand tall and little cars roll freely. The illustrations become roads, rivers and maps for imaginary worlds.
Will it hold up to pets?
Yes. With no deep pile, there's less for fur to cling to, and the whole rug can be machine washed when accidents happen.
Are Hueppi rugs hypoallergenic?
Yes. Our rugs are flat-woven, so dust and dirt have nowhere to hide, and they can go straight into the washing machine. The non-slip backing uses synthetic latex, which poses no risk for people with latex allergies.
Do the rugs shed or collect dust?
Our rugs are thin and flat, with no deep pile, so they hold far less dust than a traditional rug. A regular vacuum and the occasional wash keep them fresh. If a loose thread appears, simply trim it with scissors; please don't pull it.
Are they good for a child's sleep environment?
Yes. A clean, low-dust floor helps make a calm, healthy bedroom. Because Hueppi rugs are flat, washable and certified free from harmful substances, they are a gentle choice for nurseries and bedrooms.
